This photograph shows up many times in WFL Productions materials.  It is from a late-1800s book called The Ideal Book of Elocution, Oratory, and Entertainment.  I addition to this suggestive pose, it also offers other example poses, such as anger (hand on hip, fist raised, tiny frown -- on a woman wearing a gown similar to this one) and a "comedic" negro minstrel pose (featuring a fellow in blackface and white gloves, looking surprised).  Those wacky minorities.
